How To Make A Simple Origami Teddy Bear Step-By-Step Instructions

1. Creating Initial Creases

Begin with a square piece of paper, fold it in half horizontally and vertically, and then unfold it. This will create creases that intersect at the center of the paper.

2. Folding Left and Right Corners Inward

Fold the left and right corners of the paper towards the center, aligning them with the creases created in step 1. Follow the lines shown in the reference image and press the folds firmly.

3. Folding Left and Right Sides Inward

Now fold the left and right sides of the paper inward along the lines indicated in the reference image. Press the folds firmly to create sharp creases.

4. Returning to the Original Square

Carefully open up the paper all the way back to its original square shape, revealing the creases from the previous folds.

5. Folding the Left Side Inward

Fold the left side of the paper over the solid lines shown above.

6. Folding the Corner Back Out

Take the corner created in step 5 and fold it back out to the left, making sure it hangs over the edge of the paper. Press the fold firmly.

7. Repeating Steps on the Right Side

Now, repeat steps 5 and 6 on the right side of the paper to create a symmetrical shape.

8. Folding Both Side Corners Inward

Fold over the solid lines on both sides of the paper as shown above.

9. Opening Up the Paper

At the points indicated by the two small arrows, lift the paper up and gently push it flat down, following the existing creases.

10. Checking the Shape

Verify that your paper now looks like the shape shown in the reference image. Then, take the top layer corner and fold it down along the solid line.

11. Making Two Small Folds

Make two small folds over the solid lines as shown above.

12. Folding the Top Down

Take the top of the paper and fold it down along the solid line. Press the fold firmly to create a sharp crease.

13. Folding Back Along the Arrows

Fold the paper back where both arrows are pointing along the solid lines.

14. Creating Teddy Bear Ears

Perform two pleat folds to shape the teddy bear’s ears, following the guidance provided in the reference image.
